I program in PHP and MySQL, I’m good at it! I want to start something that is user-generated and free and would just generate money from ads. I guess I need a partner. Anyone have any ideas?
I’m liking what you all are giving me.

I am trying to get a business up and running from home that makes me some quick cash.
I started a tutoring business and it has a few students , but it does not make alot of money. I thought cleaning apts for people would be cash and no responsibility except to do a good job in three hours and go on to the next house . I need to get some cash flow going as I lost my job 5 months ago and need to replenish my funds that I am using from my savings. I posted a few ads on the free websites on the Internet and now I will post a few in grocery stores. What would be a good place to get more ads seen by local people in Canada. I am located in Toronto Canada.
Is it a good business to do apt cleaning??? When mornings? Evenings??? For Adults or Seniors????

I am looking into setting up a home based Business as a part time thing. I have a day job and I would like to do this music endeavor on the side. I want this to be legitimate but I know I will be making very little money and writing off a lot in tax deductions. Does anyone have experience in with this type of scenario? Is there a reasonable expectation that IRS has around how much revenue needs to come in for how much you are writing off? I don’t want the Business to appear fraudulent although I have more to gain from a tax deduction basis.

With an excellent business plan and a credit score close to 800, does anyone know of any banks that would loan 100% of the money for a business? We have the plan and the score but have not really approached any banks yet (you know how they push you to run your credit and with an 800 score, you know we dont let our info out very easy) Just wondering if anyone knows of banks that do loan 100% out.

A little bit of info about the business is, it costs a bit over 500k and just over 400k of that is in assets. Revenue is over 1m per year with 190k cashflow. So are their banks out there that would loan the full 500k?

Can you just draw up a business plan and take it to a bank?
How do people accumuate millions from investors? What if I had an idea like Google or Netflix how owuld I get it out there and make it as big as they did? Where do you get the money from and who do you get in contact with?

A small business to begin with of course…

I find that one of the most challenging things to starting a business is coming up with an idea with the kind of business you want to have. This is not easy for me.

What are some things/ideas/places you could recommend to me for starting a business? One of my friends tells me to identify a local need within your community and do some research on it and go from there? What are your thoughts about starting an online business? Can I have a business that has 0% investment or do I have to initially put some money in?

Ideas/thoughts/insight on how I can come up with ideas for a small business would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance for your shared knowledge.

Let’s say two people start a t-shirt business… one of the people doing the business is an artist who does the designs for the company, such as designs for the shirts. When these shirts get sold ($40 for a shirt for example), and the t-shirt is paid for, how is the money split among the two who is running the business?
