I’ve been thinking about opening a business mowing lawns in the summer and plowing snow in the winter now for the last 2 years now, except I’ve never actually worked in the industry. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any information about the way that these business owners contract their business. Do they get a year or two contract with each business or is it by the job? Also, in either of the two scenarios how much money would be considered going rate to their customers? Thanks in advance for the information.

Where do I go as far as licensing first of all. Do I need to have a business permit to drive people around? Please tell me where to find the requirements for this kind of transportation job. I plan to purchase my own bus which I intend to drive myself for people going to Casinos but I don’t know the legalities.

I can take excellent photos, and already have a fairly impressive portfolio for an amateur. I know I can do an excellent job at weddings, senior photos, events, portraits, landscape, etc. My problem lies herein: I don’t know the best way to start getting jobs. How do I go about marketing and advertising my services in an economical way?

job – because many Internet businesses – just colect the money – without offering any job, or the money that supposed to be made is not the same with the ammount that this Internet employer has offered….. .
without sending money – at the begining – for materials,…etc….

A friend of mine needs a job. He has been a business owner all his life, but due to the economy being so bad, he sold his business. Now he wants to work for someone, but doesn’t know how to write a resume as a business owner. Is it the same as writing a resume if you worked for a companies?
Would it be negative for the employer to know that you owned a business (for many years)? Would they think he is over-qualified?
